I wonder how they are going to calculate one-way award for itineraries, where one-way cash ticket is significantly higher than a return ticket. For instance, one-way FRA-MAD is 100 EUR one way and 250-300 EUR return depending on the return day. So, here it's clear: corresponding fare x multiplier. But how this will be done for this: FRA-MEX one-way is 1700 EUR for 15 August and 1650 EUR return for 15-25 August. If they are going to use the same approach, then most inter-continental one-way tickets with LHG will be more expensive than returns. If they use 50% of the return, then return of which date?
And what about cases when someone who travels on a full flex itinerary decides to cancel mid-way. It's clear with 50 EUR penalty fee, but what about the rest of the miles for the segments that were not flown? Will they be refunded proportional to the segments that were not flown? Or will the fare be re-calculated to match the flown and then a refund, if any, will be calculated? Miles and More teams are now barely able to cope with straightforward requests. And now this?
On a side note, yesterday LH HON agent from German Miles and More could not price this itinerary: GIG-GRU (LA/economy)-FRA (LH O)-BER (LH/I) and said that it could not be priced because.... award cannot have all three classes in one itinerary. When I asked since when, she replied: since for ever and just hung up....
