At first, she claimed my booking had been automatically canceled, but that wasn’t the case—I could still see it in my app, select seats, etc. I hung up and called again. The next agent escalated the issue to a supervisor and promised to follow up. After six hours, I finally received a callback, and they honored the original hold price. She added 85,000 miles to my account and issued the ticket.

My trip is in July, so I assume it will be on the new La Premičre cabin, which might explain the price increase. I also noticed price hikes for LAX and JFK routes. Historically, CDG to <US Destination> has always been more expensive than starting from a European city like BCN or MAD and connecting through CDG. But now, the prices seem to have equalized. Could this be an adjustment to standardize US award rates? Thoughts?
