More specifically, we will be on UA2222 from CPT to EWR in the summer (16h flight). Flight is operated by a 787-9 and it seems that in the Polaris cabin only seats 1 A / J come with a (fixed) bassinet option. Both seats are already booked/reserved unfortunately. Will United prioritize passengers with infants on this seats (and potentially re-seat passengers from this seat in case they do not travel with an infant)? Also, would requesting this be considered "rude" to ask/request this or is 1A/J accepted with the risk to be potentially reseated? Appreciate any guidance / experience here.
Did you call and ask United if the seats are booked or are they blocked? Also do you have your infant ticket issued yet?
Generally, I would refrain from waiting until the last minute to ask about reseating. Also, let the GA and FA handle it if it comes to that.
Also, the bassinets are tiny. I would basically forget about using them. My kids never would stay in them.
