A little late but should be indicative of recent experiences. Stayed on the day of Microsoft outage last summer, they printed out all the registration forms using the one or two unaffected PCs and everything was generally organized. Received a standard Grand Suite upgrade, not the largest with no windows in bedroom (see photos on Hyatt.com). Club was fantastic, evening spread was decent with a rotating themed menu every day, a noodle station, and a good selection of canapés and deserts. Fresh juices made available all day. Breakfast at the Show Kitchen was robust, large buffet of high quality (a step up from GH Taipei, which I stayed not long before GH Shenzhen).

A note on the hotel’s F&B program, this property used to be the absolute top of the city years ago, fortunately it remained strong even amidst openings of more premium hotels and the wake of COVID. Dined here on a couple of occasions during my few months in the city, lunch and dinner buffet at the Show Kitchen remained a staple. Lots of Hongkongers taking advantage of the lower prices, and the new Kiwi executive chef helps on busier days too. The Italian restaurant is quite good as well, again one of the better ones in town. The Penthouse bar and its head bartender were great, unfortunately the South African band has departed (so were the magnificent British band at Jen Qianhai). See the below spoiler for a few photos of Grand Club offerings.

Two decent properties of completely different class, price points and locations, but traveling between the two shouldn’t take too long. Grand’s got a club which the Park lacks (though some corporate rates may include a small buffet dinner at the Living Room, “Park Salon” or the like as they called it). Grand’s a great deal, more so following the very recent category drop from 3 to 2, but Park is worth the extra. Park’s new lobster-themed dinner buffet at the Glasshouse was absolutely superb too, small spread but extremely high quality, a mirror of the hotel itself.
