I think you are correct that the seat is more or less the same recliner but the regional A333 that was sourced from Skymark stocks squeezes 40 seats between doors 1 and 2 and seems to have a noticeably tighter pitch.
Bad luck if you get stuck with this on a 7-hour sector to West or Central Africa or even longer to Dhaka or Colombo.
