Don't feel too bad, there's a reason these scammers exist, they're pretty successful at making something look just legit enough that it's easy to just assume Google has got it right.
I tried contacting LH via their whatsapp channel, but they said it wasn't possible to add a note to the PNR. Bit surprised about that since I know i've had this happen with other airlines, maybe even LH, in the past. Oh well, i've tried, and I'll definitely monitor the booking!
Not possible or they wouldn't do it? Amadeus definitely has a free-form text field in the PNR that they
could add comments to. Whether LH's WhatsApp team are authorized to do so, I don't know. And I'm not sure there's anything they can do to prevent the PNR from being cancelled online, but at least if there were some text in the notes and the scammers tried to call in, an agent might see it before acting. I don't know whether it's worth spending any more time on this though - the scammers could theoretically cancel your PNR out of spite, although they may just move on to the next target and not waste time on stuff like that - just trying to think of all the things you might be able to do for peace of mind
Hopefully the rest of this trip will go more smoothly!
