But yes, the value at HGI is quite poor. Most HGIs I frequent have jacked the breakfast price up to $18-$20 and reduced the offering to eliminate the “made to order” aspect.
HGI's need to have an option that costs about the amount of the credit, for cereal/oatmeal/yogurt. I'm not staying at an HGI anymore unless they get that straightened out. I can get better breakfast down at perkins for less than at the hotel, even WITH the credit.
