If this is a Lufthansa-issued ticket, you should perhaps have them check that all of the coupons are in order and whatnot.

But are you sure you've been talking to AC? There are a lot of scammers out there right now who spam/SEO Google search results to have people call fake numbers. You think you're calling a 1.800 number (or 0800 if you're in the UK, or whatever) for AC/LH/UA/whoever, and they act like they're the airline, but they're actually sketchy TAs who will just sell you new tickets at inflated prices. They take advantage of people who've missed flights or are having other issues to try to sell them new tickets at inflated prices, even though they claim to be helping you with an existing booking.

Whoever it is you're talking to, it doesn't sound like they're giving you good information. So my advice is:
  • As this sounds like an LH ticket, call LH to see that everything looks okay on their end
  • If you feel the need to call AC after that, verify that you're actually calling AC by getting a number off their website rather than a search engine
  • Or just show up early at LHR and see if they can deal with it there
    • If LHR won't resolve it, get on the plane to YYZ and make someone there fix it. Whether it's LH or AC or some (O)TA, someone sold you a valid ticket to PHL, and using points to upgrade one leg shouldn't generate any change in cost on any other segment

But this smells a lot like one of these scams that's going around. (I'm willing to bet that if you do nothing before showing up at LHR and just go to the check-in desk, they'll print both BPs without any further comment).
Argh! Never thought this might be scam (and I usually am very aware of financial scams), but that could well be an explanation; I searched the AC website for a phone number and failing to find one there, google and found +1 877 567 9137.

I originally booked on swiss.com (or possibly lh.com) -- AC 857, 4Y 51 AC 8936, LH 904 (LHR-YYZ-PHL-FRA-LHR) -- actually the PHL-FRA leg originally had an LH flight number but upon trying to upgrade with M&M miles I was told they couldn't apply the upgrade unless it was a 4Y flight number, so they reticketed and then applied the upgrade. Idid wonder if this was a reticketing issue, bt LH assures me it's all ok (though I did previously have a situation with UA miles ticket on Avianca where Avianca denied boarding despite UA saying the ticket was fine... Multiple issues on AV journey booked with UA miles (no UA segments)). Another pointer to this being a scam was that at one point they were trying to cancel and reticket and claimed that AC would contact LH to make sure the miles stayed in my account even though I told them they expired 31/12/24 (the day I made the booking to use them up). I was sure this wasn't the case, but naively put this down to agent incompetence rather than a scammer! Lesson learned... I'm on my way to LHR now and should be there ~3 hours before so hopefully will sort this out with real AC people!

I did talk to LH on whatsapp, and they said that all was ok, including having checked with their "Global Helpline". So I'm now pretty confident that all will be well, though slighly odd that I didnt get the second BP, but this could be just need to physically see the passport.

BTW, what is the best number to reach AC on? I tried to find one on their website but failed and apparently no chat agent (at least when I was trying yesterday) Thanks.
