I can't imagine VS and BA being too keen on mutual support downroute, but I suppose differences aside it is a nice thing to have!
BA and VS do cooperate, although the fleet overlap is quite small. We do get, for instance, support from EK at DXB, or KLM in many places, or SAA in South Africa, and so on. There's no animosity at operations level.
