Capitalone to Aeroplan - Unable to transfer
Hello,
I am running into a weird issue with Capital one where I am unable to transfer points to Aeroplan. I tried contacting customer service and also the escalation line with capital one. They confirmed that my name on the account was the right name and spelling. Confirmed the same with Air Canada customer representative also. But after all of this, the transfer still doesn't go through. I get an error message saying that the information provided does not match. While i do have extremely long first and last name, it should not be a problem because both names match on respective portals.
What makes it even more confusing is that I had transferred from capital one to Aeroplan once in 2022.
I am looking for some advice on how I can over come this problem
Also considering applying for a new Aeroplan credit card. When P2 applied for the same card, Aeroplan created a new account even though we had provided the existing account number.
Any gotchas or things to do before I make this messy situation even messier?
