I have also seen responses like this before, and it is also not my personal experience.

For reference, for 2025 I am Plat on AA and Diamond on DL and am fortunate to only fly F/J for business travel, so I experience F/J on both. My preference is now DL (after many years exclusively with AA), but will take AA when the schedule/routing is preferable. My primary airports are JFK/LGA and LAX.

On balance, I find DL’s ground and in-flight experience magnitudes better than AA. But I will admit that DL inflight tends to be fairly consistent- FAs are friendly and do a good job, but rarely over the top amazing. Whereas AA is all over the place- most FAs are fine (and just fine, nothing more, so not as good as the average DL FA), but there are more outliers at AA- both those who shouldn't be working in a CS job anymore, and those who are absolutely amazing.
