  2. What order should I get the cards in?
  3. Can I get the Aspire and Surpass on the same day? Would that make it so that I only have 1 hard pull? I’m at 8 hard pulls the past 24 months because of rate shopping and am not sure if I should try to keep that down
  4. My main concern with the Platinum is I don’t see myself holding the card, so I’m not exactly sure what to do with it after a year because I have no use for the Gold or the Green. Should I just downgrade to the Green, hold that for a year, and cancel the Green? if you sign up for plat, you can no longer earn USB for green and gold. it would be better if you signed up for green, then gold then plat, especially since you can only earn amex SUB once in your lifetime (there are exceptions to this rule)
  5. The flowchart suggests Chase cards from United, Aeroplan, SW, British Airways, and other non-Chase cards. Again, similar concern with these as the Platinum, because I’m not sure what I would do with these cards after getting the SUBs, which I’ll eventually use. Should I just get the cards that can be downgraded to $0 AF cards? Or should I just cancel them after a year? My goal is to maintain an 800+ credit score in case I need to refinance my mortgage likewise i would go for airlines that i fly with or redeem award flights through their ffp. some of them have pretty good perks like the BA travel together ticket. otherwise, you can cancel the card. just take note about your credit utilization when you are cancelling. to keep it low, you can pay off the balance on other credit cards as well
  6. Around how many new credit cards should I be looking to open per year? i do about 2 a year. it also depends on how thick/good/mature your credit file is.
Thank you!
