Actually I just tried to transfer some Avios from BA to old AY inactive account. Suddenly, I seen expiration date set to 2022. I was still able to transfer Avios back to BA, but how this is handled? Would these Avios really expire after some unknown but probably very short period time of being deposited on that od AY account? I can imagine I would want to transfer Avios to AY for further use in the future, but for how long I would be able to use these Avios if expiration is set in the past? And I am bit worried that Avios might be marked as expired immediately next time when I try this...
