HK based, travelling mainly to Europe, the US and Europe. I have a portfolio of AMEX, visa and mastercard credit cards with BOC and HSBC.

I have used my AMEX as the primary card, backing up with VISA/MC when the AMEX wasn't accepted.

Main account is BOC, secondary is HSBC.

Looking at getting a non-US credit card, which is basically UnionPay.

Preference is BOC UnionPay credit card, with RMB/HKD dual currency. They have a few options, but I do not like the yearly fees I see. And the Diamond card is even invitation only.

I don't need lounges, dining deals and such. Car rental, lost luggage and travel insurance would be great add-ons but not a must.

Just a basic card, with best value for money (if there is a yearly fee at all), which can become my new main go-to credit card. And with the option of an extra card for my spouse. Same account and statement, but with her name and signature on it.

I find it difficult to properly overview the options offered. If HSBC is so much better, I could consider my credit card on that account instead, but would prefer BOC.

Thank you in advance.
