Not sure if the same trick I used is reported dead but;

I have $25 FFC expiring 3/4/25 and a $17 credit expiring 1/15/26.

I booked BUR-SFO for 3/3/25 using the FFC's and a $24 additional.

I then changed the date )and time) immediately after booking to 8/4/25 (and paid $40 additional) . So it let me advance the trip even though it was originally booked including a FFC with a 3/4/25 expiration date.

Not sure I saved much as the fare will likely go down. Will see if I can get a useful additional FFC if it does.

If they would let me combine Travel Bank and FFC, life would be so much easier.
