This was a re-flag and renovation of the longtime Marriott, roughly three blocks from the former Hyatt Place, which was ordered closed in March 2020 (Covid) and then remained closed for years, until finally reopening as the de-flagged Marinn Place.

The new HR opened slightly ahead of schedule, as the original opening date was March 1 or March 15.

Good to (finally) have a Hyatt in Panama City’s business district again, although at more than double the HP’s old cash rate and two levels higher for points stays. Look forward to some reviews.
