We ended up making ourselves at home at the BA lounge. Even found a left over bottle of Piper Heidsieck at the back of the fridge. The food is not the best but still better than the BTC options onboard.

Ah, yes. I forgot the Terminal B bus doesn't start up til the afternoon anyway.
I have always been out of JFK for the outbound, but return to EWR. Just works out better for my work schedule.
