I have been stung by RJ cancelling their STN flight as part of my BKK-AMM-STN return journey in April. Having booked through AMEX travel - there has been a massive amount and to-and-fro. The only alternative they're offering so far is to fly AMM-STN 2 days after the originally booked flight (i.e. spending 48+ in Amman) or leaving 48 hours earlier. This is despite RJ111 on the same day being available for booking.

Amman contact centre insisted RJ111 is full in Business despite the flight showing as available to book, whilst Bangkok office told me they had to get in touch with the Head Office to ask for authorisation which has been refused. Seems to be their policy that reroute cannot be offered and I can only move +/-7 days on the same flight from the original date.

A month off from travel, I now face the option of having to stay in Amman, or cut my holiday short by 2 days - or to cancel and refund and pay for peak flights that will be a lot more expensive than my original ticket.

Would appreciate if anyone knows of any other avenue I can try to salvage this? I'm surprised by the complete lack of assistance from RJ here, when this happened to me a few years ago - they were very accommodating with reroutes.
