I unknowingly purchased one of these, SFO-HKG-BKK, with HKG-BKK on CX. Used google flights. There was no warning at all anywhere prior to purchase. Only learned about the nonchangeable/no flight credit after 24 hours, when a warning popped up on the reservation in the app. Taking a look back at the ticket receipt, it does say:

This is the only time I've ever been so completely fooled on an airline ticket purchase. The fare was a real bargain ($657) and I'd have no problem with the restrictions IF they were clearly disclosed prior to purchase.
