I will try do this. So I book the whole family on an all United itinerary as the first step. For the second step, how do I do a flight change of the existing UA itinerary to the partner flights? It's an international multi city 3 airport trip and UA does not fly to 1 of those international airports. Do I just book any 3 leg UA itinerary first using the starting and ending point of the domestic airport that UA does fly and the 1 international airport UA does fly? Am I allowed to change airports for multi city flights?

If I can't change airports, then do I have to go through the FFC process?
