Forgot to post until now, but earlier this month I had an appointment in Alexandria plus an expiring Chase cat 1-4 award, so I combined that into an excuse for a quick overnight stay here
- originally "upgraded" to a "view" room with a view of the street
but went back down to ask if they had a room without a connecting door (from the fire escape plan on the door it seems like maybe only this one pair of connecting rooms?) after confirming that I didn't care about the view, they moved me to a different room on the back side of the property facing the parking lot and shared courtyard with other buildings, at the end of the hallway
- room decor and hardware looks essentially unchanged from photos/descriptions upthread
- rooms are a bit small as noted, but maybe not quite as bad as NYC? perhaps less of an issue for 1 king vs. 2 queen
- still no actual fridge, just a cooling drawer that didn't seem cool at all
- the main difference between my original room and the new one was that the bathrobe in the original had blue accents (edging and C logo) whereas the robe in the new room had orange accents as pictured in post #1

- wifi still kinda janky to connect and maxed at 10 Mbps up/down on Speedtest
- fantastic water pressure in the shower
- welcomed as Globalist at check-in
- apologized for lack of suite upgrade (but I knew from the thread it was unlikely and also it was a last-minute 1-night booking, so whatever)
- breakfast info and 4pm checkout were offered to me proactively
- bottled water noted in the room "but just ask us for more and/or if it's not there"
- not doubting the experience above, but for what it's worth I didn't notice any particular scent in the lobby (I might've just not noticed, but I'm usually attuned to such things...)
- breakfast omelet was good and well-portioned, but the menu seems unexciting and feels like it might get boring on a longer stay
- there's lots of stuff nearby though, so...
Overall I think the property felt better than the impression I got from the thread going in, though it certainly has its flaws.
Current breakfast menu pictured below, with Glob benefit detailed at the bottom. At the conclusion I was given something with the feel and size of a business card to sign for the WoH Glob benefit (I forget the exact wording). This had a tip line, but I wrote "globalist" on it and the server didn't seem put out by that.
