In that circumstance a crew change is required due to the fact they don't stay over in FUE and it's one of the longer B2B sectors for the crew. Because that return to LGW is most of the delay, this is where we need to find out more. The original flight wasn't very long, just to the Isle of Wight and back, Then there was a 2 hour hold in LGW, presumably to get the crew change. If it was a passenger who was ill or otherwise unable to complete the journey then that would be extraordinary circumstances. TECY would be different. So I'm not throwing much light on this, but it seems reasonable to put in a claim here.
