BA 314 LHR-CDG 12.55 -13.20

We were about to eat in the FLounge when I saw that the gate B38 had done to Boarding 55 mins before departure. We went directly over and boarding did in fact commence within 5 minutes. No Group 0 were called, it went directly to Group 1.

We left on time and were on 06L in 5 minutes. I had seen the Champagne go into ice before we pushed and almost as soon as we were airborne the meal and drink trolley was out.

The snack was a choice of smoked trout or mozzarella. We both had the Trout. It went extremely well with the Champagne. Another crew member came forward for collection of trays and top up drinks were offered. I turned the tray around to capture the light better. Frankly, it was most pleasant but it did make me think of the canapés that we used to serve years ago. It’s an amuse-bouche and nothing more. The crew was excellent and we landed 20 minutes early.
