Fuji Seiran is a new, 5-room property set to open on May 25. It's located in Heda, a small fishing town along Suruga Bay on the Western side of Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, and near Mihama Beach and Moroguchi Shrine. It's about 30 minutes drive West from Shuzenji, where Asaba is located.
All 5 rooms are identically-sized suites (150 square meters) and priced the same, although their modern aesthetics are slightly different. What they all offer are a deck terrace facing Suruga Bay, and an open-air onsen and sauna with sweeping views of Mt. Fuji across the Bay.
Food is creative cuisine, and the seafood from Suruga Bay comes directly from the local fishermen each morning. Much of the produce comes from their local farm (farm, not garden.)
We are set to visit Fuji Seiran 2 days after their grand opening - yes, we'll have to brace from seeing them go through some growing pains - but that's the only time we have, so that's when we'll be going.
