Overall what are your favorite parts of the property?
Definitely not a campground feel, but more of a resort that is built into an existing jungle. There were rumors/talk that this property was originally built to be an Ritz Carlton Reserve and I can absolutely see that in the landscaping and design. This is not a standard 5* resort ala RC Bali - I felt that the StR looked far more generic which is why I chose the RC.

My understanding is that the StR beach isn't very good. The one at the RC is small, but secluded, and I thought it was nice enough. The beach on Datai Bay (home of the now burned down Luxury Collection The Andaman Resort) is much better though.

RC Langkawi is a special property. Certainly a step up from your typical Bonvoy property 5* resort in SEA.
