It is also the go to airline for his pilots who pays to let them fly home and leave the plane at the destination and fly backas this reduces the overall jet engine hours. FWIW, I regularly fly Southwest between OAK and LGB/LAX. I'm a big fan of premium cabins, but I'm fine with Southwest for short flights. My wife and I have three Plats between us, and each year I make full use of the $200/year airline incidentals benefit via Southwest.
