(U.K.) Duty of Care
Flew LHR-DFW-MSN on 18-FEB and the DFW-MSN segment cancelled do to "weather". (Of course) Actually do to "previous weather" based on EF notes:
DFW 850P C10
MSN 1105P
1FX CANCEL DFW -MSN -XEW-CXLD DUE TO PREVIOUS WEATHER RELATED CXLD-I*1548
7DFW/AURA CXL FLT IN PROGRESS *1612*CRCYMG
The staff at DFW Flaghip were able to get us into ORD (Still in proper cabin), same day, but refused to pay for bus transport from ORD-MSN stating "Not on weather." I sorta think they owe me the bus fare ORD-Madison and the Uber fare Madison-MSN Airport to get where they should have in the first place given a U.K. depature! (Pretty darn sure had we had to overnight they would have owed the hotel and meals (not that I would have stayed where they woudl try to put me!) Can any experts chime in?
EDIT: I believe it's UK261 protections I'm asking about?
I have receipts for the bus line ORD-Madison, and the Uber receipts for Madison-MSN airport, All I'm reall asking for,,, Overall arrival times were about the same - just increased costs at get there and a bus instead of FFD Dining at DFW! lol
