This question is for our professional pilots on the forum: I believe I remember hearing somewhere that the pilot flying is formalized/assigned beforehand. If you’re flying into adverse conditions where there’s little margin for error, how is this arrangement handled? Can it be overruled? How do early career pilots then gain the experience to be able to make more challenging landings?
