To add - after the 2 of us, the other 6 F passengers on the flight were all young people in their 20's , 5 males and 1 female (not a group). Most in t-shirts. I suspect college students going from Tokyo to Sydney. This has been my experience on QF as well in paid F - young people that don't look the part. Rich people have children.
1) Whats wrong flying F in tshirt? I do that too.
2) One very nice part of not having wait staff is, unlike in JFK T8 Chelsea, noone would be looking for tips. (Not that it would happen in Japan anyways)
3) Many of the F lounges aren't actually that good. I feel JAL F lounge food is way better than the F-only lounges across oneworld. That said, the champaign is very weak in comparasion.
