We will be staying at the Adelaide Hilton. Now perhaps I can ask for some advice from the FT OzFest Community. What flight should I book on May 23 SYD-ADL? One must consider that #1. TG is often not on time, and #2. We will need to change terminals at SYD, after clearing immigration and customs. This will be a separate ticket. Choices are:
- VA418 12:15-13:55
- QF737 12:35-14:15 and
- QF739 14:35-16:15.
looking at options for you to make use of your UA status on VA (e.g. Lounge access), there are some connecting through MEL that may be viable (also slightly cheaper). For example 2pm via MEL arriving 5:05pm. (If you have baggage to check, avoid "Lite" fares.)

On arrival at SYD and entering landside you would turn left and head to the for north west end of the terminal (past an aerotel) and the T bus stop. This bus departs every 15 minutes during the day. You may be able to check in at the Virgin Australia domestic transfer counters inside just before you'd go outside for the bus.
