Yes, i've seen that and also the comment on the booking page which says something such as "all your 1R benefits will be recognised". We'll see.

Bit of a pain though trying to book. Unbookable through the website on multiple devices - returned to the home/search page after rate selection. Called 1R reservations and they have the same issue, so escalated to "Luxury guest relations" who also have the same issue but then fixed it within 30 mins. Then over the coming few hours only Star Privilege rooms are available - no regular rooms, but subsequently fixed. Then only the pay now rate is available and also eventually fixed, but i wasn't available for their return call. Following that when i called back the regular 1R reservations continually failed to book the room and rate we wanted, just put me on hold - obviously some other the problems continued - from where the line was cut or they never came back, or just got some buzz tone after 3-4 minutes. Finally tonight on my 13th

call the agent could at last book the room. No hold, no problem - apart from not being able to find the hotel which the others had done without any issue.
Wonder if the diamond line is any better...?

I'll be calling the hotel direct before we arrive to make sure the reservation still exists, even though i've got the confirmation mail.
Each time i spoke to a new agent i got more tired of hearing how grateful they were that i was a plat and my last stay blah blah...
Just getting a 'simple reservation shouldn't be so difficult should it?
