Here's a datapoint: I put in two orders (to take advantage of Ame $15 off $55) about 2 weeks ago, and received some points pretty quickly. The items were

$25 caramel apple
$30 "celebrations passport" shipping pass
$65 mini bonsai tree

This should total to be $120, or 120 x 25 = 3000 miles. As of yesterday, I received a debit of 900 miles and 750 miles. It's... extremely unclear how the accounting works (for example, whether taxes are included in the "amount spent" calculation, or whether the shipping pass qualifies). The $65 bonsai tree shipped late, so I'm hoping to receive a larger chunk later to put me above 3000 miles.

The math I convinced myself was that if I was okay spending $350 and 12 hours to fly SFO-BOS for 5k EQM, spending $100 and no hours to get an mediocre apple and 1k EQM is... acceptable.
