While I am happy to reach my destination the same day, I feel like I paid AS miles for a First Class award, but only got economy.

Has anybody else faced this? Any way to request for a refund of the difference in points AS? Or maybe from AA?
you’ll have to deal with AS, who will in turn deal with AA; both AS and AA will send you a couple emails stating that they are communicating with each other, and then there will be radio silence

on 30 Jan and 5 Feb I wound up cancelling AS awards on AA metal (Y/PE TATL and F domestic, respectively) after AA had control of the ticket, and have not yet seen the miles reinstated for either … of course the miles for both my last-minute rebookings were deducted immediately, and since I’m out of the country again I haven’t had time to cuss and discuss with AS CS to get to the bottom of the matter
