Should note that during my stay over the weekend I ordered coffee through the butler service, and later noticed a $40 charge on my bill despite not having signed for anything. When I asked the front desk, she advised that property management made the decision to "discontinue offering butler service" a few months ago and that they've received a number of guest complaints. I asked to be transferred to manager line but was sent straight to voicemail, so I've left a message and opened a case with Marriott. I thought that complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings is a brand standard benefit? You'd think at the very least they should disclose that they don't offer that prior to charging for the drinks?
