Small data point, got my 7k AA LPs from AAHotels booking 9 days after stay concluded. Pushed me over the threshold into 2025 Gold status (OneWorld Ruby). Didn't really fly AA much this year, so didn't try to chase higher levels. Would've liked to achieve Plat for the Sapphire OneWorld, but another 35k miles was simply too much to achieve. Ah well.
