I assume - and could be wrong - that the refund is made to the last card you used to top up your account, whcich would mean it all went back on the Visa. I doubt they would be flexible as Amex can reclaim the merchant commission from Visa if the refund goes back there.
Do tell us more about online betting sites ... Although I have enough on my plate at present with my mobile phone reselling business (ie Tesco), my theatre ticket selling business (due to my Dublin mileage run) and my daily trips to HSBC ....
