This is a tough one, but I would suggest 2C-1DG or 4C-3DG. DG is the only choice for seat pairs, though with a privacy barrier that makes conversation hard. 2C-1D and 4C-3D are the closest you can get for 2 seats across the aisle, with the ability to see each other and even converse.
