Update: Feb 2025 weekend stay (after the Bonvoy Ts&Cs have been updated to remove any breakfast exemptions for when the lounge is closed or if the property does not have one - section 4.3.c under Guaranteed Lounge Access).
- At check in, the agent informed me the hotel does not offer breakfast and said 1000 points would be automatically deposited into my account at checkout.
- Opened a complaint on the Marriott website re: lounge and elite breakfast situation and within a few hours an agent wrote back cheerily stating the 1000 points would be deposited after checkout
- Called Marriott CS today to follow up and the agent agreed I seem to qualify for the $100 guarantee but would need to hand this over to the hotel
