LHR to VIE
Cottage pie… was definitely in the oven for some time as the top was hard as a rock. Added some texture to it, I suppose:
VIE to LHR
Whilst I agree this dish has a Christmas feel to it, it has probably been one of the most substantial meals I’ve had in CE. Was well and truly full!
This was the 18:15 flight to London on 16th Feb and the crew were excellent. It was 9 rows of CE and only one crew did the initial drinks run (super quickly) and then the next did a single food run (again, super quickly) while the other crew followed immediately with the drinks run again.
Felt like a more seasoned crew, and I suspect this showed. It was a marked difference to some of the younger crews that don’t quite have that… BA crew feel to their service.
Case in point; on the run over someone had a disabled fellow passenger who was in row 2, but they were in row 5. There was a spare seat in row 2 and they asked if they can move up to sit with their disabled passenger who might need assistance. The crew member actually said “Probably not but I’ll check”. I just thought it was an odd thing to have to check… for probably more than one reason!
Anyway I also echo above about the starters being a bit dull and not nice on board. Can’t remember the last time I ate one and enjoyed it. I can’t quite think of what to replace them with though.
