It's insane that regulations continue to allow this. Had the parent driven home from the airport and been pulled over they'd be charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act for not having the child in a car seat. Get a car seat, pay for a plane seat when you fly with your child.

TLDR from the NTSB, for every 1 infant saved in a car seat on a plane, a minimum of 60 lives would be lost from people driving instead because of the cost.
