Just to temper your hopes, UA has a very effective strategy to fill the front cabins with revenue passengers -- those who buy it outright, those who buy it as an upgrade, and those who use other currencies (miles or upgrade-specific points, known as PlusPoints) to buy or list for the upgrade. While it's not impossible for the front cabins to have seats available for an OpUp for a ZED it is far less likely than carriers based not in North America.
