I had a most amusing experience the other day, where a completely obnoxious mainland Chinese family in C demanded the crew to help them lift their million carryon bags into the overhead lockers (there was plenty of space). The crew’s reaction was brilliant: Oh if you cannot find space or manage, we will happily check it in for you. Followed by asking how much it weighed, to which the response sheepishly was ‘ummm 7kg’, to which the crew responded ‘I do not believe that, if 7kg you can easily lift it’ And suddenly they miraculously could manage everything by themselves

But to echo others, as long as you do not overdo it, you will be fine. I cannot speak for economy though.
