I honestly think it’s not intentional and Qatar and is not evil. It just takes someone to write a design document, implement and test. Even if it’s a 5 line coding change, changes like this must go through all sorts of testing and approvals. And we know that Qatar IT is not the strongest.
If someone has time to file small claim court to request Qatar compensate for overcharge and missing benefits (+ whatever penalty on the airline for false advertising the judge will levy) this might eventually get some attention and fixed.
