I went back through my Quicken data. I noted the date that Quicken downloaded the transaction (ie, the date it showed up on the Citi/Sears site) along with it's back-dated date. (It'll show on the Sears website as the backdated, you'd have to manually note WHEN it showed up though). In other words, Quicken would download every day. On say, the 30th of the month it would download a transaction with a backdated posted date (so if I didn't manually note it, Quicken would show it was actually downloaded on the back-dated date as that's how it'd show up in the register).
I missed out on January 2024, so my data is only for 11 months, although something funky happened for December 2024 (never got the 10% of my over $2,000 they only posted $100 for some reason). Second, Statement date *seems* to matter in a sense of when it's backdated, at least it coincides with my statement closing dates (or rather the day or two before).
Anyway, the dates are listed "when" they transacted, followed by backdated "posting" date (or perhaps it's posting/transacted?)
3/16/24 - backdated to 2/24/24 for Feb 2024 purchases (met the max after statement closing date)
3/31/24 - backdated to 3/26/24 for March purchases (met the max BEFORE statement closing date)
4/30/24 - backdated to 4/25/24 for April purchases (met the max BEFORE statement closing date)
5/30/24 - backdated to 5/25/24 for May purchases (met the max BEFORE statement closing date)
7/17/24 backdated to 6/25/24 for June purchases (i'd met the max after statement closing on 6/26/24)
8/16/24 backdated to 7/26/24 for July purchases (met the max before statement closing on 7/26/25)
8/31/24 backdated to 8/26/24 for August purchases (met the max before statement closing)
10/16/24 backdated to 9/25/24 for Sept purchases (had not met the max before closing date)
11/24/24 backdated to 10/26/24 for October purchases (met the max before statement closing date)
12/16/24 backdated to 11/25/24 for November (had not met max by statement closing)
1/26/25 backdated to 12/26/24 for December purchases (had met max by statement closing date)
Haven't received credits for January although didn't max out until after statement closing date either
It looks like your statement closing date is near the end of the month.
For me, my statement closing dates are in the middle of the next month.
Except this month which was on the 13th, all the other closing dates were the 16th/17th.
Perhaps the 3-4 additional dates makes a difference.
For the Jan 2025 GGR, my first GGR purchase was on 01/09 in-store at Walmart and my last GGR purchase that took me over $1000 was on 01/23.
This is very similar to all the other months in 2024.
I also have completed the Feb 2025 GGR spend. First GGR purchase was on 02/01 and the last GGR purchase that took me over $1000 was on 02/06.
