Turkish Airlines seems to be one major exception with multiple flights to IST throughout the day.
Does anyone know if there's a specific reason for this early morning arrival/departure bank? Security-related? Financial?
I work in Georgia half the year and all I can say is that I feel your pain. I make it a point to do the TK flight out in the morning, as it's quick and can then connect me elsewhere. I'm not certain why this is the case, but it's also true for EVN and GYD. Recently, I took an AF flight that got me in around 21:00. Not terrible, but does not run daily.
Edit to Add: In April, looks like that AF has a flight to CDG that leave at lunchtime. Also, I know the Georgia Air runs flights to CDG and AMS--but don't know where else they serve.
