Thanks - expecting the self transfer. Blocked a nice 5.5 hours to make it less stressful. Next task is to convince the SO to take the train. I prefer avoiding the M25 as much as possible

It doesn't change your baggage allowance though. So three bags of 32 kgs, and if the other person is on the same booking, they get the 3rd bag too on BA.
Thank you. Good to know on the baggage allowance. We are on separate PNRs, so that extra bag won't apply I think.

If your booking is a through booking on one reservation for IAH-OPO via LHR and LGW then you will get the business class allowance of 2x32 Kg base plus 1 extra piece for OWE on both flights and the person without status will get 2 x 32Kg for both flights
