Starting our first OneWorld RTW trip in April ex-OSL. I set the frequent flyer scheme to Iberia for myself and AA for my wife during the booking process. With the new Iberia program I am wondering if I should change mine to Alaska or another program. We have approximately 54k miles across the 16 segments. We have 5 legs in the US on AA plus DFW-HND on AA. It seems that I earn significantly less on AA flights when using Iberia FF program. Under the old program, I calculated that I would just miss getting Emerald level with Iberia and I would meet the minimum with a few additional flights outside the RTW trip. Now I am not sure at all. So if I cannot achieve Emerald, which is the best FF scheme to use for the RTW trip.
