When you achieve the requirement of 10 years Diamond and 1000 nights for Lifetime status, does the Status automatically change to showing Lifetime Diamond on the App?
Although I only need another 8 nights for Lifetime status, the App is still showing as 50 nights required to maintain Diamond.
I distinctly recall my change happening the moment the 1,000th night went through to credit the account. Until that point the App was working on the basis of the usual Diamond annual updates. The hotel in question credited nights and points the day after the stay, and immediately it went to Lifetime on the front screen. Until Lifetime gets properly tracked in the App I'm not sure there is any better way to handle this, since you could be well be not Diamond, or even Gold, when Lifetime strikes.
