Those so-called XL are just the same economy seats but with 30" pitch instead of 28". If you are ok with 28" (the other thread you said you were tall but not that tall) then row 8 you get off a touch quicker.
30" is regular economy on widebody pitch so nothing amazing/XL-y, if you need the 30 you need the 30...
If biz is not sold to row 6 then those rows become economy and you can get 30" without being behind the wing.
