For revenue tickets, the AS site states “Members who booked before October 16, 2024 for travel on or after January 1, 2025 are still eligible to earn based on the 2024 earn rates. Please submit a retro credit request after travel or contact guest care and your mileage balance will be adjusted.”

This should mean that in 2025, all tickets (revenue or award) will be credited based on new scheme and if you would have benefited from the previous scheme and booked ticket before 10/16/24, send in a request for adjustment.

Since there was no scheme for award tickets before, you should just get the EQM. If you don’t, I would send in the missing mileage request.
